Thank you to everyone who completed our recent survey. The steering committee is working through the results, which are providing valuable insight into the areas where we’re meeting the needs of Women in Strata, and where we can improve.

I am very pleased to announce that the steering committee has welcomed two new members to its ranks: Aylie Brutman and Sarah Smith. Both of these women will be well known to many in the NSW sector, each having a wealth of experience in strata management and strata service roles.

Here’s a little about each of our new committee members.

Aylie Brutman

Aylie is Director of Econ Strata & Real Estate Services, a specialist division of Economos Chartered Accountants. Aylie and her team deliver premium accounting, audit, tax and training services to the property industry, and in particular strata management.

Since joining the strata sector in 1993, Aylie has broadened her skills from working in the accounting and administrative areas to focusing on training, compliance, business operations and process improvement.

Immediately prior to joining Economos in January 2017, she was the Product Manager for

STRATA Master, working with over 400 agencies to ensure continuous improvement in

Rockend’s software applications to drive business efficiencies and increase profits.

If you haven’t already, connect with Aylie on LinkedIn or visit the Economos Website.

Sarah Smith

Sarah commenced her strata career over 16 years ago and has a strong administrative background in strata.  She has been involved in many facets of strata management, including in the compliance and records team, the property assistant team, the new business team and more recently as part of the management team. She has been involved in ensuring a smooth transition for the take-on of existing buildings and assisting developers with new projects.

Sarah was the Deputy Branch Manager at the highly awarded Dynamic Property Services which included her being responsible for the training and supervision of the property assistant team and assisting the then Licensee In Charge, Reena Van Aalst.

Sarah is a Licensed Strata Manager and has experience managing all aspects of diverse entities such as residential and commercial strata schemes; community and neighbourhood associations, and building management committees. Sarah’s services are currently in high demand as she offers relief and support services to strata managers Sydney-wide.

You can connect with Sarah here on LinkedIn.

Thank you Aylie and Sarah for volunteering your time, knowledge and skills to our growing group.
