As I sit down to write this 28th blog, I’m reflecting over a year that has held more success for Women in Strata than I ever could have hoped for 28 weeks ago.

The idea that women working in strata management need a group like this was cemented over our August workshop. The wrap up of that workshop saw five hard working women in strata appointed to our steering committee, with an unwavering commitment to take this group to the next level. In November we saw record numbers of women nominate themselves for positions on the SCA (NSW) board, with the women elected doubling the number of women represented on the board.

Our launch event will be taking place early next year. You and your teams should expect to receive a call from our committee early in the New Year as we seek to spread the word about Women in Strata to as many women (and male champions!) working in strata management as possible.

Thank you for sharing your stories and experiences with me this year, some of which have been intensely personal and emotional. Thank you for offering your advice, skills and expertise. Thank you for contributing, engaging, suggesting and supporting. As this year draws to a close, I am so very proud of what has been achieved by a community of like-minded women, passionate about a cause and committed to finding a better way to do excellent work and live the most fulfilled lives possible.

I wish you all a very happy and restful festive season. See you in 2016.
